John Rakowski

John Rakowski, 70, of Piscataway, passed away on Monday, March 6th, 2017 at Morristown Medical Center. John was born and raised in Jersey City, moving to Runyon in 1979. The family later moved to Old Bridge, and then to Piscataway in the 1990s. John was a Civil Engineer. He worked for a number of different municipalities in the state. John was a loving and warm gentleman. He was very family oriented and he did everything for his grandchildren, whom he adored. 

John was predeceased by his loving wife, Deborah Ann (nee Ostrowski). He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three children, Jacqueline Rakowski-Barca and her husband Anthony Barca, John Paul Rakowski and his wife Nicole and Vanessa Dixon and her husband Alexander; and seven grandchildren, John Paul Rakowski, Jr., Sophia Rakowski, Genevieve Barca, Zoey Rakowski, Damien Dixon, Riley Rakowski and Adam Dixon.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Saturday, 3/11, at 9:00 am at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial 10:00 am at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Jersey City. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday, 3/10, from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 pm.
