Robert Foster White, 71, of Bayonne, NJ, passed away on April 30th, 2017. Robert, or "Salsa" as he was known, was a great Singer, both here and in his native Costa Rica. Salsa was born in Limon, Costa Rica, where he attended High School and received his training as a Musician. He was a member of Los Playmates, with whom he recorded "Perfidia" his most well-known song. He came to Bayonne about 20 years ago, continuing to sing in his newly adopted country. Even though he himself was ill, he would sing for the patients at Bayonne Medical Center. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Olga Iris (nee Morales); his children, Robert Foster, Jr., Elvis Foster and Wendy Vanessa Foster; his step-children, Carlos, Geraldo and Vanessa Morales; his brothers, Albert White and Walter Foster; sisters, Marilyn Meza, Eleanor Crawford, Imenda Down, Arlene Foster and Shirley Foster; 13 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Funeral 10:00 am Friday, 5/5/17, at the funeral home. We shall leave for Arlington Cemetery, Kearny at 11:00 am. Visiting will be on Thursday, 5/4, at the funeral home from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
