Armando Blandon, 52, passed away on Sunday, February 18th, 2024. Armando was raised in Jersey City, graduating from St. Mary's High School and New Jersey City University. At NJCU he studied Filmmaking, following his love for the arts, film and photography.
Armando was a filmmaker and writer, whose work was celebrated at The Golden Door International Film Festival and the Official Latino Short Film Festival. He also shared his passion as an educator, currently teaching Video Content Creation at Hudson County Community College.
Armando cared deeply about animals and animal welfare. He was involved in animal rescue and loved his own cats very much - Polly, Casper, and Gember. He enjoyed traveling, cycling, nature, and music. He loved street photography, architecture and good food. Armando was a good person and a loyal friend and partner. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Armando leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Chastity Farrell, and his dearest mother, Mirta Zapata, of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Friday, 2/23, from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
