Clementine Naggiar lovingly known as Teta Koukou, passed on January 3, 2022 at the age of 92 in Somerset, NJ. She was born in Alexandria, Egypt where she lived with her younger brothers, Samir Naggiar, and the late Nabil and Jean “Risho” Naggiar. She met and married the love of her life the late Michel Fares, and their loving relationship continued until his passing in 2001. Clementine opted to stay home and take care of her children Nadia, and Hani. After some time, she immigrated to America with her family, and acted as the matriarch to all those who had taken that brave step with her. Her expression of love for her family shined through her cooking (particularly grape leaves, kunefe, baklawa, and kobeba), gifts, and occasional knitted presents.
She is survived through her son Hani Fares and his wife and children, her daughter Nadia Fares, her grandson Karim Azer and his wife and children, her brother Samir Naggiar and his wife and children, Mary and Gamil Naggiar and their families and all those who carried her love in their hearts.
The viewing will take place at Saint Stephen Orthodox Church (609 Lane Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080) tomorrow (Tuesday January 4th 2022) from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
A funeral mass will take place at 10 am on Wednesday the 5th of January 2022 followed by Burial at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Cemetery in Manville. A Mercy meal will be served at Saint Stephen Church after the burial.
