Fabiola Avellan, 66, passed away in her home on Thursday, April 9, 2020.
Fabiola was born on January 3, 1954 in Cali, Colombia. She immigrated to the United States at the age of sixteen and would later settle in Jersey City, New Jersey where she became a Dental Technician. She worked in the profession for upwards of thirty years.
She was a single mother to son, Manny Zelaya and daughter, Vanessa Moreno. On August 14, 2004 she married Jorge Avellan.
She was an exemplar of strength and resilience throughout her life. She overcame all difficult chapters with grace while never losing sight of the importance of having a good laugh and maintaining a sense of humor. This was no different during her battle with pancreatic cancer.
She is survived by her husband, two children, and mother Maria Rodas. Words cannot express the void that is left with her passing.
