Gonzalo Beltran

Gonzalo Beltran, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of passion, discipline, wisdom, and love that touched all who knew him.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Gonzalo immigrated to the United States in 1968 in pursuit of opportunity and a fuller life. Through determination and hard work, he built a successful career as a project manager at LaGuardia Airport, where he worked for many years before retiring fifteen years ago.

Gonzalo lived intentionally, passionately, and fully. He was a man who believed deeply in health, discipline, and mindfulness, approaching each day with purpose and conviction. A lifelong student of personal growth, he devoted more than twenty years to the study of the Alexander Technique, ultimately achieving instructor-level certification and sharing his knowledge with others.

A true lover of the arts, Gonzalo found profound inspiration in the music of Beethoven and Mozart. He was also an enthusiastic cyclist who cherished the freedom and joy found on two wheels. Whether enjoying a beautiful ride, a moving piece of music, or a memorable meal shared with family and friends, Gonzalo embraced life's pleasures with genuine appreciation and enthusiasm.

Of all his accomplishments and passions, nothing brought Gonzalo greater happiness than becoming a grandfather. His grandchildren, Alexander Antigua and Nathalie Antigua, were the light of his life and a source of immense pride and joy.

Those who knew Gonzalo will remember him as unique, brilliant, passionate, opinionated, and deeply loving. He possessed a remarkable intellect, a strong sense of purpose, and a generous heart. His presence could never be overlooked, and his influence will never be forgotten.

Gonzalo is survived by his beloved wife, Haydee Beltran Bonilla; his son, Christian Beltran; his daughter, Gloria Antigua; his cherished grandchildren, Alexander Antigua and Nathalie Antigua; and his siblings, Esperanza Anastasio, Luz Estella Martinez and Juan Beltran. Gonzalo was predeceased by his parents, Santos Beltran and Ana Rosa Diaz and his sister, Carmen Beltran. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose memory will be treasured always.

There will never be another man quite like Gonzalo Beltran. Though he will be profoundly missed, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

May he rest in peace.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Visiting on Tuesday, 6/23, from 5:00 - 9:00PM at the funeral home. On Wednesday, 6/24, we shall gather at the funeral home at 9:30AM. Mass of Christian burial at 10:30AM at St. Aedan's R.C. Church, Jersey City. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
