Jan Ulazka, 70, of Jersey City, passed away on Monday, July 26th, 2021.
Jan was born in Ukta, Poland. Jan was a kind man and a very hard worker. In 1981 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Jersey City. He worked at USA Iron as a welder, iron worker and metal fabricator. It was said that he had "hands of gold", as he could make seemingly anything from wood or metal and repair whatever was broken. After retiring from USA Iron, Jan worked for many years at Evergreen Funeral Home and Plaza Funeral Home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jan leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Jadwiga (nee Perkowska); his sons, Piotr Ulazka and his wife Sarah and Rafal Ulazka; his daughter, Anna Kwiatkowski and her husband Ken; his brothers, Kazimierz Ulazka and his wife Maryla, Andrzej Ulazka and his wife Elzbieta and Marion Ulazka and his wife Jadwiga; his sisters, Zofia Rainko, Krystyna Cyktor and her husband Miroslaw and the late Ewa Ulazka; his grandchildren, Roman, Adam and Sebastian Kwiatkowski; many nephews and nieces and grandnephews & grandnieces.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, 8/2, at the funeral home at 9:30 am. Mass of Christian burial 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Polish RC Church, Jersey City. Interment Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday, 8/1, from 2:00 - 8:00 pm.
