John J. Wilkos (Jay), 66, born and raised in Jersey City and later a long time resident of Bayonne, passed away November 10th, 2023 at RWJ Barnabas Health JCMC.
He was predeceased by his parents John A. and Regina (Zwolinski) Wilkos and wife, Jacquelyn Santacroce. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Lisiewski, brother-in-law Ciro Santacroce (Pam), nieces Roxanne Culver (Mark), Carrie Manahan (Thomas), Danielle Santacroce, Megan Santacroce, nephew Jayme Lisiewski and many great nieces and great nephews.
Jay attended high school at Hudson Catholic in Jersey City before finishing his education at Springfield University in Massachusetts. Throughout his career he worked within the trucking and logistics industries, aiding companies with their global supply chain management. In his youth Jay was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and joined the Order of the Arrow. Later in life you could see the Boy Scouts influence in his love of hiking, rafting and camping. He will be remembered for his love of family and his kind and generous spirit.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Wednesday, 11/15, at 9:30 am at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am at St. Ann Polish RC Church, Jersey City. Interment to follow at Arlington Cemetery, Kearny. Visiting on Tuesday, 11/14, from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00- 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
