Katarzyna Trusz

Katarzyna Trusz (nee Jodlowska), passed away on Monday, July 25th, 2022 in Sulejowek, Poland. She was 89 years old. 

Katarzyna moved from Poland in 1974 with her young daughter. She settled in Jersey City and worked more than 20 years on the night shift in New York City’s office tower. Katarzyna worked hard all her life and her family was her priority. She never forgot where she came from, often recalling the hard times she and her brothers endured during and after the war. Her greatest accomplishment was providing a better life for her daughter, for the family in Poland and her grandchildren, who have a better start than she ever imagined. She has fulfilled her purpose and achieved more than she thought she could.

Katarzyna was predeceased by her husband Michal. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Helena Madrawski and her husband Andrzej and her grandchildren, Mark, Amy and Kate Madrawski.

Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Monday, 8/15, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Ann's Polish RC Church, Jersey City on Tuesday, 8/16, at 10:30 am. Inurnment of the ashes will be at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City following the Memorial Mass. We shall gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:30 am before the Memorial Mass.
