Marieta "Mayette" Cabello Sideco

Marieta Cabello Sideco, of Jersey City, passed away on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at the age of 78. "Mayette" as she is affectionately known by her family, is a former hairdresser/hairstylist from the Philippines who continued her passion in Jersey City, New Jersey. Over the years, she shared her kindness and passion with her family and the friends she met. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Mayette. She was a devotee of Our Lady of Perpetual Help who prays the rosary in everything she does, a practice she has followed since childhood. Her cheerful demeanor was contagious to everyone she met.

Mayette will be remembered fondly by her daughter Mimi (Menette); her son, Jay; her son-in-law Rudy; her siblings Baby, Nita, Stella, Vic and Rudy; her grandsons Kirk and Jello; many nieces and nephews, and a large number of other family members, coworkers and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Evergreen Funeral Home on Tuesday, 7/19, from 5:00 - 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at the funeral home on Wednesday, 7/20, at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass at St. John The Baptist RC Church, Jersey City at 10:30 am. Cremation service will be private.
