Meera K. Nayak

Meera Nayak, aged 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.  She was born on February 3, 1937 in Pilar (Udupi), India to Laxmibai and Ramaraya Prabhu.  She married Krishna Nayak on May 24, 1957.  She was a loving, caring wife, and mother.  She was a school teacher and retired as a Head Mistress.  Meera had been a towering figure for school children and younger teachers.  She was compassionate, ever-smiling, strong-willed, and considerate.  Meera is survived by Sheela (daughter), Anand (son-in-law), Shami (daughter), and Shashi (son).  We pray God to give her place at his lotus feet and sadgati (salvation). 

Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Sunday, 2/4, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. We shall leave the funeral home at 12:00 pm to go to Garden State Crematory in North Bergen for the cremation.
