Paul Alvarado Obituary

On Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 7:49 PM Paul Michael Alvarado received his wings from our God
Almighty. Paul, or as many of us affectionately called him, Mikey, was 32 years old at the time of his
passing. Mikey was born on Saturday, October 3, 1987, to Maribel Alvarado and Johnny Ferreira. He
graduated from New Jersey City University’s Youth Corp and earned his GED in 2004. He studied at
Hudson County Community College for one year before joining the workforce full-time. Mikey worked
at Interstate Waste Management for three years as a Sanitation Worker. Mikey held several jobs in the
same field but loved working at IWS.

Mikey was a witty and funny individual who enjoyed making people laugh. He always had a great sense
of humor, no matter the situation. Mikey would have his family and friends in tears with his jokes. His
favorite quote was “Talk to me nice.” You could close your eyes and picture his head turn and witty
smirk every time he said it. In every group, Mikey was the center of attention. He was the life of the
party. He always made his presence felt in his own silly ways. Mikey enjoyed watching movies and
calling out his favorite lines. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, friends, and significant
other. Mikey loved cooking, something he picked up from the time he spent with his late grandmother,
“Mom.”

Mikey was loved by his family, friends, girlfriend, and everyone who had the pleasure of spending time
with him. He leaves behind his parents, Maribel Alvarado and Johnny Ferreira, and his brothers;
Anthony, Maurice, Winsum, and Julio Alvarado and Marcos Ferreira to cherish his memories. Mikey also
leaves behind his nieces, Juliana and Emily Alvarado and Lynissa Medina. His nieces always referred to
him as the “Cool uncle.” They loved putting on Mikey’s hats.

Mikey leaves behind his aunts, Madeline, Elizabeth, Joanna, Julie, and Hilda Alvarado, Julie, Olga, and
Maritza Morales. His uncles, Justo, Marcos, Luis, William, and Julio Jr. Alvarado and Jose Morales. His
cousins, Monique, Shanika and William Jr., Jillian Alvarado, Roberto, Ramon, Carlos, Vanessa and
Geraldo Morales, Gustavo and Maria Pena, Jose Ortiz, Santos, Pedro and Johnathan Vasquez, Amaya
Brewington, Mia Sanchez, Brianna Crawford, Desiree Jeffrey, Julio, Justin, and Duke Garcia, Alexis
Hernandez, Donovan Figueroa, Lanikqua, Diamond, Devon, and Dico Buchanan, Cassandra Brown and
Luis Humphrey, and many others. Finally, he leaves behind his many friends and companion and
girlfriend, Malissa Ocasio. In God’s Kingdom, he joins his grandparents, Julio Alvarado and Petronila
Cruz-Morales, his aunt, Mildred Cruz and uncle, Roberto (Jimmy) Morales.

Mikey will be greatly missed by all. If anyone here has a hole in their heart, fill it with the laughter and
memories you shared with Mikey. He will always remain with us until we all meet him again. Mikey,
you are gone, but certainly not forgotten. You have left your footprints in everyone’s heart.
