Ryszard Tyryllo was a loving husband, father, and friend. He departed this world from his home early Saturday morning, May 25th 2024, at the age of 74 after a debilitating battle with cancer.
Those that knew him intimately, knew him as an unapologetic giver of unsolicited and solicited advice, a DIY enthusiast, handyman, and mechanic that preferred to upkeep the family’s cars and renovate his home himself rather than hire out. He was an avid hunter, chasing the elusive ten pointer, hobbyist sailor, and outdoorsman. He was a great listener and you could always count on him to tell you what he really thought. His stern nature was proof he cared. He will be incredibly missed for his funny, eye rolling “dad jokes”, that could make just about anyone smile. Introverted toward those he did not know, and opinionated to no end, he held his beliefs of hard work, punctuality, and stoicism very dear. He would never miss the chance to indulge in vanilla or mint chocolate chip ice cream and loved pizza and Budweiser after work on Fridays.
Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2012, he retired from his job as a hazmat truck driver and chose to spend his free days in his cabin in Pennsylvania, or on his recliner at home keeping up on current events.
He will be missed by those who loved and knew him. Most importantly, Ryszard would want to tell all of his friends and family to routinely screen for colon cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Tyryllo and his 3 children, Sebastian Tyryllo, Richard Tyryllo, Anna Kubiak, and 5 grandchildren.
