Saad Hanna, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Son of the late Moawad Hanna and Anssaff Bishara; Saad was born in Cairo, Egypt, where he met and married his wife, Ahlam. Saad and his wife immigrated to the United States in the early 1970s; like many other immigrants, they came in with a few dollars in their pocket and the dream of a better life.
Shortly after immigration to the United States, Saad founded S & H Packaging, a successful, small, family-owned business providing shipping solutions to small and medium businesses. He was devoted to his clients and passionate about his work. Saad loved the Coptic Orthodox faith, aiding and helping in the expansion of the churches in New Jersey. He loved to travel (especially cruising), gardening, reading, documenting his life through pictures, and loved nightly walks with his dog. Saad had a great sense of humor, loved to joke around, and his distinctive laughter could be heard anywhere he went, especially while watching comedy movies or sitcoms. Saad will be remembered as loving, compassionate, and giving to others. He was a devout father and loved his family, especially his children; Joy, Mary, and Richard.
Saad is predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Ahlam (2023), his parents Moawad Hanna and Anssaff Bishara, his brother Adib Moawad, his sister Claire Hanna, and his son in-law Kenneth Bondeson.
Saad leaves behind his children Mary Evans (Lee), Joyann Bondeson (late Kenneth), Richard (Amy), and four grandchildren, Josh, Jaxon, Nolan, and Adelyn He also leaves behind his sister, Fazia Botros (late Nagy).
