He attended college in Egypt, and eventually settled in Jersey City, New Jersey in the early 1970’s. He was a hardworking, self-starter who built successful small businesses such as in Real Estate and contractor services at Azer Enterprises.

Samy enjoyed life’s simple pleasures such as family time and time spent with his grandchildren. His lively personality included his wonderful sense of humor, adventurous spirit, deep conversations stemming from a place of wisdom, and his passion for politics and history.

Samy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  The love he extended to all he encountered was always selfless and sincere. He truly had a heart of gold. He preached love, unity, and forgiveness, just as he exemplified in his everyday life.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, and every 2.5 minutes someone gets diagnosed with it. Samy’s birthday is Nov 9th and for his birthday, we ask friends and family to donate towards lung cancer research, and help us find a cure!

Lung Cancer research is one of the most underfunded areas of cancer, when in fact it claims the most lives of those diagnosed with any type of cancer.
