Sumintra Bansraj was born on December 19, 1942, in Guyana. She lived a life guided by
devotion, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. On April 14, 1957, she married the love
of her life, Jainarain Bansraj, and together they built a beautiful family, sharing forty-nine
blessed years of marriage until his passing in 2006.
Sumintra was a woman of quiet strength and deep compassion. She dedicated her life to raising
her six children, Sabeeta, Radika, Ragunath, Ramkelwan, Sookranie, and Sunmattie, nurturing
them with patience, warmth, and faith. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the
comforting scents of her cooking, which brought the entire family together throughout the years.
She was deeply spiritual and found great peace in prayer and devotion. Sumintra lived by the
values of humility, gratitude, and seva (service), always placing her family’s needs above her
own. Her gentle nature touched everyone she met, and her presence brought calm and comfort
to those around her.
As a grandmother and great-grandmother, she showered her family with unconditional love. Her
blessings, wisdom, and stories will continue to guide future generations.
Sumintra leaves behind her loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family,
and many friends who will forever cherish her memory and the light she brought into their lives.
May Shri Krishna Bhagwan, Lord Shiva, and all the Gods welcome her with love and grant her
soul eternal peace.
Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
