Thomas "Tom" Horan, 76, of Jersey City, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Tom was a devoted husband and loving father—he was a gentle, generous soul who gave his heart to everyone he met.
He brought quiet strength and endless kindness to our lives, always supporting The Kennedy Dancers with pride and love. Many knew him from Snyder High School’s B.E.S.T. Program, where he mentored countless students with patience, compassion, and care.
Tom had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know him.
The family asks to keep thier family in your hearts during this very difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 10:30am Visiting at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 from 6-9 pm.
Flowers are welcome, and donations are also greatly appreciated. In honor of Tom’s lifelong love for animals, all donations will be directed to Final Hope Animal Rescue, located at 6 Congress Street, Jersey City, NJ.
Final Hope is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming abandoned and neglected animals. Tom deeply believed in their mission. Contributing to this cause is a meaningful way to honor his legacy and continue his passion for helping animals in need.
