Vernon C. Bryan, age 83, of Lewes Delaware, formally of Wall Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025.
Vernon spent his life in Wall Township before retiring from the Wall Township Public Works Department and moving to Delaware in 1999.
Vernon was a lifelong hunter and fisherman and passed this passion on to his children. He was a past president of the Spring Lake Live Liners Fishing Club.
He enjoyed the outdoors, especially surf fishing the Jersey Shore and Martha’s Vineyard as well as shad fishing in the Delaware River, where he loved to camp with his brothers.
In his early years, Vernon raced cars and trucks at Englishtown Raceway. He was a member of the Central Jersey Competition Riders Motorcycle Club, racing enduros and trials. One of his hobbies included restoringclassic cars, including his prized 1957 Chevy.
Vernon was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Evelyn Bryan. He is survived by his three children, Vernon C. Bryan III (Lynn) of Wall, NJ, Jeanette Anthony of Alhambra, CA and Travis Bryan (Robyn) of Adairsville, GA as well as five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Vernon is also survived by his brothers, Gary Bryan and Wayne Bryan, and his Sister Diane Fratkin.
