Wanda Osieja of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at home on July 28th, 2020 at the age of 103 1/2. She would have celebrated her 104th birthday in February. A lifelong resident of Jersey City, Wanda worked at Western Electric, Kearny, and retired after 35 plus years of service.
A devout Catholic and parishioner of Our Lady of Czestochowa and Our Lady of Victories, she would attend mass regularly until it was no longer possible at the age of 99. Wanda loved summer, and sunbathing at the beach, and spent many vacations with family at the Jersey shore and Florida.
Wanda was pre-deceased by her husband John, and now recently her sister and soulmate, Helen Ptaszynski, nephew Mark, and brother Ted Plesnarski of Clearwater, Florida.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her niece, Melinda Saminski and her husband Stanley of Manasquan, niece Andrea Plesnarski of Eugene, Oregon, caretaker Maia, as well asd a few surviving friends and cousins.
We attribute her longevity to healthy eating, staying active, and her faith.
Relatives & friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Monday, 8/3, at the funeral home at 10:00 am. Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Victories RC Church, Jersey City.
